GUS-OS Suite

ERP system with vision

Business Analytics & Controlling

As a modern ERP system, the GUS OS Suite not only supports you in managing your operative business. At the same time, the GUS OS Suite is a valuable data source for your corporate planning. Because it is becoming increasingly important for companies to organize their internal planning process in such a way that future simulations can be carried out faster and more precisely on the basis of current actual data. We provide various modules to optimize your planning processes.

Business Analytics Group - GUS-OS Suite - GUS ERP

Integrated corporate planning

GUS-OS Integrated Business Planning enables integrated planning of all essential business functions - sales, purchasing, production, distribution and finance. Automated profit planning (planned contribution margins, planned profit and loss, planned liquidity) is based on sales plan data. Dynamic projection of overhead costs is possible through the integrated flexible plan cost accounting.

Business Intelligence

GUS-OS BI (Business Intelligence) is a solution for the preparation, analysis and presentation of company data. In addition to the evaluation of data from the GUS-OS Suite, it is possible to transfer external sources from other relational databases (such as market data) or via Excel interfaces into the data warehouse. In this way, insights into all areas of the company can be gained from current events, which provide a sound basis for operational and strategic decisions.

Costing

In times of decreasing margins in the process measurement industry, GUS-OS Costing achieves the necessary cost transparency through unit costing. The costing functions are integrated into all areas of the ERP system and enable development costing, quotation costing, contribution margin accounting, mass price calculation, standard costing, goods receipt and invoice receipt costing, production order costing, contract manufacturing costing and average price calculation as part of the final costing. Calculations can be performed with freely configurable costing sheets. The module also supports period-end closing and the resulting inventory valuation with a workflow that guides the user comfortably through the closing steps.

Batch costing

The GUS-OS Batch Costing module supplements the GUS-OS Suite with the possibility to determine the actual costs of each individual batch on the level of article, batch and split. The actual costs of all externally procured purchased parts as well as in-house production shares of a batch are directly allocated. In contrast to periodic average pricing, a batch cost calculation thus forms an additional instrument for controlling actual costs, since fluctuating purchased part costs are not included in the actual costs with a delay.

Preference calculation

Tariff preferences are preferential customs treatments for goods from certain countries and territories. In order to benefit from these preferences, it must be proven that certain conditions are met. The GUS-OS Goods Origin and Preference Calculation module provides you with a tool that manages incoming preference proofs, performs preference calculation for in-house produced material and issues preference proofs for customers as part of the integrated solution.

KPI

The GUS-OS KPI (Key Performance Indicators) module supports the long-term monitoring of critical success factors. This enables continuous improvement of operational business processes, in cost control and in increasing effectiveness. As an integrated part of the GUS-OS Suite, it is possible with GUS-OS KPI to directly access the operational data of the ERP application and its subsystems for the creation of performance information.

ETL process

The ETL process is an integrated tool that ensures the transfer of operational ERP data into a data warehouse (ETL - Extract, Transform, Load). In an ETL process, the data is defined and bundled, which is transferred into a (super) cube. For each ETL process, several fact tables (usually movements) and any number of dimension tables (usually master data) can be selected from GUS-OS ERP.
The data is transferred to the data warehouse periodically and automatically - a suitable workflow process is provided for this purpose.

Mastering challenges in the process industry

Short development cycles, multi-stage manufacturing processes, restrictive legal requirements, strict certification requirements, and high demands on quality and environmental management: This poses major challenges for companies in the process industry and their IT systems
- especially since legal and industry-specific requirements and regulations differ from country to country and change frequently. With the GUS-OS Suite, we provide a modular solution with which companies can control complex processes across the entire value network in a consistent, integrated and yet flexible manner thanks to fully integrated workflow management.
