Chemische Fabrik Karl Bucher uses the GUS-OS Suite. The GUS Group 's ERP solution not only controls all of the Bavarian company's key operating processes, but also automates document management. The GUS Group is a leading provider of integrated software solutions for the process industry and logistics.
When using the GUS-OS Suite, Chemische Fabrik Karl Bucher not only uses the ERP core component of the solution, but also the modules for financial accounting, cost accounting, archiving, laboratory (LIMS, Laboratory Information Management System), costing and capacity planning. The company covers maintenance and servicing with a third-party solution, which is to be connected to the GUS-OS Suite via an interface.
With a particular focus on its customers in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, Chemische Fabrik Karl Bucher now also has a solution for document management in the form of the GUS-OS Suite. Employees now only need the batch number of the respective products and can (re)provide documents, such as certificates of analysis and original measurement data, with just a few clicks. In addition, the GUS-OS Suite prepares the data on raw materials used that the company needs to be able to create certificates quickly and securely.
"The materials we use are usually hazardous goods," says Stefan Bucher, Managing Director of Chemische Fabrik Karl Bucher. "That's why creating the necessary documents, such as dangerous goods labels or customs documents, is a sensitive and complex task. The GUS-OS Suite also covers this area. This enables us to handle the entire dangerous goods shipment process quickly and safely." The basis for this is Chemdox, a software for hazardous materials management, which connects the GUS-OS Suite with the material management of the ERP solution via an interface.
