Fresh Nuts GmbH's business with traditional oriental roasted nuts is booming. At the same time, unstable supply chains are making production planning more difficult. Fresh Nuts has therefore introduced the GUS-OS Suite, which supports growth through automated processes.
The chance
With its combination of traditional oriental recipes and state-of-the-art production standards, Fresh Nuts has conquered the German market for nuts and dried fruit, especially under the "Meray" brand. The current upcoming distribution through large supermarket chains will additionally accelerate this business growth - a growth that has to be managed and supported by changed as well as partly new business processes. Especially since in times of inflation and fragile supply chains, flexibility and short response times are the be-all and end-all of a food manufacturer.
Fresh Nuts therefore decided to introduce an ERP system that provides fully automated workflows that create the necessary transparency and process reliability. When selecting the system, the company attached great importance to a lean and largely self-explanatory system.
IT - rethought
With the GUS-OS Suite, Fresh Nuts has introduced an ERP solution that is tailored to the company's processes as a process and food manufacturer. The nut producer was able to adopt around 80 percent of the ready-made standard workflows unchanged. At the same time, the workflows are easy to adapt without the need for additional programming. Today, the solution controls all important processes in production, purchasing, sales, quality management, financial accounting and when creating new articles in the system via the GUS-OS module "Product Passport".
During the implementation, Fresh Nuts on the one hand provided the master data as fine-granularly and uniformly as possible. This ensured a smooth operation of the GUS-OS Suite thanks to the therefore standardized and uniform database. Secondly, the specialist departments were involved from the very beginning, so that their know-how was incorporated into the workflows to be created and an early acceptance of the new solution by the users was guaranteed.
